How we check our materials

We check the mathematics, the diagrams, and the words around each task. A worked example, a practice question, and its answer key should tell the same mathematical story.

What we check

• Exact fraction arithmetic, accepted equivalent answers, and clearly requested answer forms.
• Equal-size wholes and parts, number-line spacing, units, and the quantities in word problems.
• Reproducible sets, matching PDF answer keys, and readable print layouts.
• Hints and guided steps that support reasoning, with a shown final answer recorded separately.

What these checks do not prove

Automated checks do not show that every learner will find a task clear, or that a short session proves mastery. We use related grade and standards labels as content guides, not judgements about a learner.

Learning references

The design draws on guidance about clear instruction, visual representations, number lines, and revisiting ideas over time.
